With it being wintertime all of Megan's favorite TV shows are featuring winter activities. That had gotten her really thinking about ice skating. Caillou makes it look so easy and she had never done it before. (One thing I love about Megan - she wants to try everything at least once.) When I mentioned that to someone at church they said they had some kid ice skates that they were going to donate and told us Megan could have them. You could bet that she was super excited! And John too because it meant he could take Megan out. John hasn't been skating since middle school but he did fabulous and didn't fall down once!
It was a little harder than Megan thought it would be. Her feet hurt by the end of the experience and she didn't really want to listen to John's skating lesson - she just wanted to teach herself. She could walk pretty good in the skates on the rubber floor though! We'll just have to keep practicing I guess! It was great that she had Daddy's hand to hold onto!
