"I'm Having Too Much Fun!"

Those five words spoken by Megan at 8 pm Sunday night about summed up our entire weekend.  It was absolutely gorgeous weather here in Minnesota, especially with temps in the upper 70's after inches of snow less than a week before!  We were outside as much as we could and I think the kids wanted to get in as much activity as they could while it was so warm.  Maybe they were afraid summer would only be a week long this year?  It's cold again so maybe they were on to something.  Megan definitely tried to cram all of last summer's activities into this past weekend and when Sunday night rolled around she didn't want it to end.

I was itching to get outside and start walking and getting my body moving.  The weekend for us started on Thursday night with a bike ride around the neighborhood.  Still had to wear coats...

When the actual weekend cane I didn't want to stay inside with two antsy kids either so we escaped to three parks Saturday morning.  We started at City Square park but when Megan had to go potty and the bathrooms were locked we had to leave.  Megan suggested going to Safari Island since there were potties there.  After going potty we played in the ball pit for a while until she had to go potty again.  She did the deed and we were off to another outside park.  I think Owen liked being outside!  Megan is doing great on the playground structures this year and will climb and go down the slides by herself!  Big step up from last year...  Then we were back home for naps and to get ready for a wedding that night.

It was even nicer on Sunday.  John and I got outside to work on the patio and garage.  Megan played in the pool and was actually "diving" in to only a couple inches of water... Not too safe but having fun.  She didn't even want to come in for lunch but instead enjoyed it on the patio.

We took a couple more family walks on Sunday so Megan could ride her bike again.  Owen enjoyed a lot of time in his stroller but still loved getting out and stretching his legs.  He likes to go where he wants to go too, ya know.

Megan had the time of her life and when were told her it was time to come in around 8 pm we got the line, "I'm having too much fun!"  It was tough to get her in but an ice cream sandwich helped. 

 

It was still nice on Monday night so we made time for another walk (doesn't John look fabulous?!) with a detour stop at McDonald's!

  

 

I'm so glad we were able to get out!  We did have a little snow this week but luckily in our area it didn't stick around.  Back to long sleeves and pants and we're looking forward to the return of "spring".
