Friday Funnies: Tub Time!

So, this weather we are having is definitely NOT funny... I don't think it should below 40 for a daytime high in May, how about you?  I think it's safe to say that our entire household misses the 70's... including Owen.  I'm going to keep the funnies short tonight since it's getting late and it's birthday party weekend!!!

One cute thing I forgot to write about last week is how Megan asks for a horsie ride up the stairs to bed.  No big deal, right?  But what is funny is that when we get to the top she checks if I am wearing a necklace.  If so, she grabs hold of it and leads me like a horse into the bathroom!

Me:  Why won't Owen ever lay still? (referring to when I try to change his clothes or diapers)

Megan:  I know!  'Cause he needs a pillow to lay on!

Me:  And that's what I've been doing wrong this entire time?

Megan:  Yeah!!!

Owen learned a new trick this week.  He learned how to get in and out of the tub by himself.  And I found out after he did.  Bath night last night and I started running water as I usually do.  I left Owen clothed and first tended to Megan.  She was a little cranky so I may have sat on her lap to keep her on the potty so she would pee before going into the tub - plus I wanted to take the ponytails out of her hair.  So, in doing that my back was to the tub where Owen was throwing toys in and trying to reach the rising water.  Next thing I hear Megan exclaim, "Mommy, look!  Owen's in the tub."  Sure enough, clothes and all he was sitting up in the tub happily playing away!  And, wouldn't you know I even discovered a surprise in his diaper as I took off his wet clothes.  He must have been proud of is new skill because he was in and out the entire bath!  And sure was he slippery...

Does it look like Owen is practicing for a wet T-shirt contest or what?
